I can’t stand flying anymore.
I had to get on a plane today and discovered something interesting. It looks like the airlines have stumbled upon a new business model for "success".
They’re giving their customers less service, fewer amenities, less comfort, and an overall less pleasant experience (flight attendants are getting to be downright sullen).
Their planes are packed to the gills so they’re not wanting for customers. Of course, the customers they have aren’t paying much.
Slash the price and make it up on volume.
This in a business climate where:
-
the largest retailer on the planet consistently delivers MORE for less.
-
the largest food service retailer on the planet consitently delivers MORE for less.
-
the largest family entertainment company on the planet consistently delivers MORE for less.
The airlines have settled on a business model where they consistently deliver LESS for less… and they’re going bankrupt.
